As part of Northern Ireland's contribution to the European Heritage Days, this September approximately 260 of Northern Ireland’s historic buildings and monuments, landmarks and hidden gems will open offering free entry with many activities for you to enjoy.
There is a packed programme of events and activities ranging from guided tours and walks to talks and lectures, from living history re-enactors to community fun days and festivals, from musical events to screenings to brand new places to visit, there is something for everyone!
New for 2024 - EHOD Competitions!
This year we have 3 fantastic competitions for all ages to enter. Childrens art competition (ages 5-18), all ages photography competition and Teddys day out Social Media Reel/short video competition, again for all ages. There are some really special prizes awaiting the winners so get your cameras, mobile devices, teddies and drawing implements ready! For more information on the competitions visit here. Do I need to book?
To ensure events remain safe, some events this year will require pre-booking. Details on how to book for individual events can be found on each listing that requires booking.
