Moments of stillness, subtlety snatches of serenity – captured and framed – best describe Dawn Mitchell’s work. Drawing from nature, her mixed media pieces reflect the ever present , the ever changing Donegal on a grey day, the barren Burren, the breathy feel and rustle of the west wind… catching these fleeting moments we so often miss is the constant inspiration and life force behind each piece.

Dawns studio workshop is above the little barn gallery that she opens approximately 3 – 4 times a year with unique exhibitions of artists work. Telephone to find out if it is open at present. Failing this you can view her own work by appointment. It can be difficult for artists and craftsmen in disciplines other than ‘oil paintings’ to find galleries to show their work of these talented artists.
